AI & automation

Arrival prediction, route optimisation and timetabling, on your own servers.

The AI already inside CampusTip runs on your server, your maps engine or the user's own device: traffic-aware arrival prediction, route optimisation, timetable generation, neural voice guidance, liveness-checked face recognition and live captions. Student data is not used to train third-party models, and decisions about students stay with people. CampusTip has no built-in generative-AI chatbot today; a built-in assistant is on the roadmap.

Who uses it

  • Transport manager
  • Timetable coordinator
  • Teachers
  • Bus drivers
  • IT administrator

Driver: turn-by-turn navigation (narrated)

A bus driver opens their route with stops and boarding counts, starts navigation and follows simulated turn-by-turn directions with the ETA and remaining distance. Narrated, with captions. Sample data in the demo environment.

Key capabilities

AI built in today

  • Face-recognition attendance. Computes a face template on the kiosk with liveness checks and matches it against consented people. Runs on: Template computed on the device; only an encrypted template is stored on your server.
  • Proctoring face detection. Flags no face, several faces or looking away during webcam-proctored exams. Runs on: The student's browser and your server.
  • Traffic-aware arrival prediction. A gradient-boosted (GBDT) model combines live traffic and route data to predict arrival at each stop. Runs on: Your Stackwick Maps engine.
  • Route optimisation. Vehicle-routing optimisation (school-bus optimiser and new-rider insertion) under capacity, accessibility and ride-time limits. Runs on: Your Stackwick Maps engine.
  • Timetable generation. A solver proposes a conflict-free master timetable. Runs on: Your CampusTip server.
  • Neural voice guidance. Natural text-to-speech for drivers' turn-by-turn directions (Piper neural voices). Runs on: Your server; no speech is sent to a cloud service.
  • Live meeting captions. Captions in online classes using the browser's built-in speech recognition. Runs on: The participant's browser.

AI services we integrate for you (onboarding service)

  • AI assistant for teachers. Lesson ideas, question drafting and feedback suggestions.
  • AI assistant for families. Answers about schedules, menus, fees and bus times from your own published information.
  • Content summarisation. Summaries of long notices, circulars or materials.
  • Analytics and early-warning insights. On attendance and performance, with decisions left to people.
